Signal Integrity Focused since 2002
I've marketed and engineered Back End Test tools in the following product categories:
- Scopes, Spectrum/Logic Analyzers(Tektronix)
- Memory Device Testers ATE (Accutest, Megatest, Minato)
- Logic Testers ATE (Tektronix, Megatest)
- Test Sockets (Johnstech, Liberty, DCI, Antares, Phoenix Test)
- ATE boards (Finley Design, DCI, Antares)
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, Vietnam Veteran and Penn State alumni. My first job out of college was with Sperry Rand designing test systems for plated wire memory cores. I moved on to Tek as a field engineer and eventually sales manager for large ATE systems.
My focus on Signal Integrity began in 2002 when I had significant trouble getting Serdes signals through our standard pogo pin sockets. I discovered that the ATE board often brings the SI issues to the tipping point and adding a socket pushes it over. Since then I have setup the Signal Integrity group at Antares, published papers and conducted seminars on SI in the final test environment
I've been married since 1970 to my saintly wife, Peg. We raised 3 boys, one of whom is in Pennsylvania, another is at Antares, and the third just moved back in.
